Frequently Asked Questions
Self-care consulting is a supportive, one-on-one service that helps you create and maintain a personalized self-care routine to support your mental wellness. While it may feel therapeutic in nature, it is not clinical therapy or a replacement for mental health treatment. Instead, it offers structure, guidance, and real-life strategies — especially for those living with or impacted by Serious Mental Illness (SMI), burnout, or emotional exhaustion.
Self-care consulting is designed for:
• Individuals living with SMI (such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, etc.)
• Caregivers and family members supporting loved ones with mental health conditions
• Professionals experiencing burnout or compassion fatigue
Anyone feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from their well-being
Each session is customized to you. We’ll begin by discussing your current lifestyle, stressors, and goals. Together, we’ll explore what self-care looks like in your life and co-create a plan that fits your needs, energy level, and circumstances. Sessions may include:
• Emotional check-ins
• Wellness planning
• Coping strategies
• Goal setting
• Crisis prevention tools
• You’ll leave with clarity, support, and an actionable plan.
Not at all. While many of our clients do live with SMI or related conditions, you don’t need a diagnosis to benefit from support. Self-care consulting is open to anyone who is ready to prioritize their wellness and needs help building a sustainable path forward.
Unlike traditional coaching, this service is guided by over a decade of clinical mental health work, particularly with underserved and vulnerable populations. Our approach is practical, sensitive, and grounded in compassion — not just performance-based motivation.
Currently, all services are available virtually for convenience and accessibility. Sessions are conducted via secure video or phone call. In-person sessions may be offered upon request and location availability.
Standard sessions are typically 60 minutes, with 30-minute follow-ups available. Most clients benefit from bi-weekly or monthly sessions, but this can be customized based on your goals and needs.
We offer a range of packages to fit different budgets. While we do not accept insurance, many clients find our services more accessible and flexible than traditional mental health systems.
Sliding scale pricing may be available for qualifying clients. Contact us for current rates and options.
